NARAIN NIWAS PALACE was built in year 1928 by General Amar Singh, commander of the Jaipur State forces and was also the first Indian to get kings commission in British army. His diary, kept in English for 44 years, from 1898 to 1942, in 89 folio volume, provides and unparalleled ethnographic account of Rajput life in the princely India in the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. Care has been taken to maintain the traditional furniture and decoration to provide an unforgettable Rajasthani experience to the visitors. We have beautiful gardens were lots of peacocks and other verities of birds can be seen. Our orchard has many verities of tree and plants. |

The Palace hotel spread on 15 acres of land dates back to 1700's when it was built for the Maharani. In 1800's it was renovated and became the resident of British Political Officer and was known as Residency. Late Maharaja Sawai Mansigh II made this his residence after renovations in 1950 and it then came to be called Rajmahal Palace . After the Royal Family moved out in 1980's, Rajmahal was converted into a hotel. |
